Mattia Destro has found his feet at Genoa, who are reportedly working to renew his deal until June 2023.
The former Bologna striker moved on a free transfer to Genoa last summer, having spent the second half of 2019-20 on loan with the Grifone.
He was given a one-year deal and has repaid the trust with seven goals in 15 Serie A games and has convinced the Ligurian side to open negotiations over a new contract.
TMW reports the two parties are ready to discuss a renewal and add two more years on the contract.
Destro first moved to Genoa in January 2011, from Inter, and has since played for Siena, Roma, Milan and Bologna.
