England star Declan Rice has covered the most distance of any other player at Euro 2024.

The Arsenal star tops the list after his tireless performances in midfield for Gareth Southgate's side this summer.

Gareth Southgate's side have produced five underwhelming performances, but have still reached the semi-finals, with Rice the heartbeat of their starting XI - when the Three Lions boss has played three different players alongside him during the tournament.

Rice has run a staggering 63.9km (39.8 miles) across England's three group games, plus the Round of 16 and quarter-finals.

He is followed by the man he arguably replaced at Arsenal in Granit Xhaka (62km) while an England team-mate ranks in fifth. There are no England players however in the 10 when it comes to top speed recorded at Euro 2024.

That player is Phil Foden who has run 52.8km (36.2 miles), despite struggling to hit the same heights that he meets at Manchester City.

Foden has yet to score or assist during the tournament, but he has clearly been putting a shift in across the opening five games, and is the only forward across the 24 teams in the tournament to rank inside the top 10.

In fact, eight of the 10 are covered unsurprisingly by midfielders, with Germany's Joshua Kimmich (61km) in third and Switzerland's Remo Freuler (59.7km) in fourth.

Switzerland have more players inside the top 10 than any other nation with three, with Michael Aebischer ranking sixth (57.5km).

The rest of the top 10 are covered by Germany's retiring midfielder Toni Kroos (57.2km), France pair Jules Kounde (56.3km) and N'Golo Kante (56km) and Portugal's Bernardo Silva (55.6km).

Meanwhile, French captain Kylian Mbappe has now recorded the top speed across the entirety of the tournament at 22.7mph.

He is followed by Spain's Ferran Torres (22.4mph), Slovenia's Benjamin Sesko (22.3mph), with Germany's Leroy Sane and Romania's Valentin Mihaila both at 22.2mph.

The top speed recorded by an England player is unsurprisingly Kyle Walker at 21.6mph, followed by Ezri Konsa (21.3mph) and Jude Bellingham (20.8mph).

The semi-finals of Euro 2024 get underway tonight with a huge match between France and Spain.

England will hope to meet the winner in Berlin on Sunday, but must first get past the Netherlands in Dortmund on Wednesday night.
