Rio Ferdinand believes that Arsenal should sign the 'talented' Alexander Isak with Gunners boss Mikel Arteta desperate to bolster his attacking forces this month.
The north Londoners are searching for a new striker with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang exiled from the first team, while Alexandre Lacazette's contract expires at the end of the season.
Reports in Italy claim that the Gunners have made a player-plus-cash bid for Fiorentina's Dusan Vlahovic, compirsing £46million plus Lucas Torreira.
However, Arsenal have also been linked with a move for Sweden international Isak, who impressed during last summer's Euros and has delivered for Real Sociedad in LaLiga.
On Monday, Spanish reports suggested that Arsenal would be in pole position to sign the 22-year-old owing to Sociedad's refusal to sell to domestic rivals Barcelona, and Man United legend Ferdinand has endorses a move for Isak to north London.
‘He will be a good signing. Another young talented player. He has done really well in the Euros for Sweden, I thought. He is a talented player, man,’ he told Rio Ferdinand presents FIVE via Metro.
Arteta is believed to be happy to see both Aubameyang and Lacazette depart if he is able to bring in another forward such as Isak.
The striker, who has nine goals in 32 appearances for Sweden, has a good scoring record for Sociedad, whom he joined from Borussia Dortmund in 2019.
