The newest promise at FC Barcelona, Riqui Puig, turns 19 this Monday and has shared a photo of himself holding the Spanish Super Cup alongside two of Barça's biggest stars.
An ecstatic Rique Puig is joined by Barcelona's new captain, Lionel Messi, as well as Luis Suarez. It's accompanied with the text: "The greatest way to celebrate a birthday is with my first official trophy at the best club in the world! VISCA EL BARÇA!"
The academy star didn't make the final list of 18 players for the final but travelled with the first team to Tangier. However Puig was used in all three of Barça's US tour matches: 75 minutes against Tottenham, plus the second halves against both Roma and Milan.
Puig will play with the academy side in Segunda Division B next season but is someone who caught Ernesto Valverde's eye this summer. In fact, he's training with the first team and has already been handed a shirt number for next season: 26. The same one Xavi Hernandez began with at Barcelona.
