Rolando Aarons on West Brom's wishlist after missing out on Bobby Reid

West Brom may bid for Newcastle winger Rolando Aarons after missing out on Bobby Reid.

Relegated Albion are expecting to lose Irish winger James McClean to Stoke.

Potters boss Gary Rowett is a long-term admirer of tenacious Irish wideman McClean and tried to take him to Derby in January.

Albion boss Darren Moore had been keen to bring in Reid instead from Bristol City but he is due to join promoted Cardiff for £10million.

Ex-Jamaica international Moore has now turned his attentions to other targets including Newcastle's Kingston-born flyer Aarons.

Aarons, 22, is an England U20 international who showed great promise breaking into Newcastle's first team in 2014.

But his progress has since been stalled by injury and he was loaned out last season to Hellas Verona in Italy.
