According to exclusive news from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on August 26, Liverpool have made a £50 million offer for Crystal Palace winger Ismaïla Sarr, 28, following the collapse of their deal for Brighton & Hove Albion winger Facundo Buonanotte.

Romano reports exclusively that Liverpool have opened talks with Sarr and are preparing to sign the winger. The Reds have submitted an offer of around £50 million for the Senegalese international, and Sarr is keen to complete the move. Crystal Palace have rejected two offers from Galatasaray for the player.
The Minteh transfer fell through due to demands from Brighton & Hove Albion, prompting Liverpool to pursue Sarr instead.
Senegalese international Sarr is 28 years old and joined Crystal Palace from Marseille in summer 2024 for €15 million. Last season, he made 45 appearances for Crystal Palace across all competitions, scoring 21 goals. His current Transfermarkt valuation stands at €45 million.
