Romelu Lukaku completed one of the biggest transfers of the summer of 2021 when he left Inter to join Chelsea.
The Belgium striker returned to Stamford Bridge for a blockbuster fee of €115 million (£97m).
Inter were forced to sell their star man due to financial problems exacerbated by the Coronavirus pandemic, but their loss was Chelsea’s gain.

The Blues had desperately been searching all summer for a natural number 9 and they finally got their man in Lukaku, who had endured an unsuccessful spell in west London earlier in his career.
Lukaku made a dream return debut for Chelsea as he scored and created havoc in a 2-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on August 22.
After a respectable 1-1 draw with Liverpool, Lukaku struck twice more in the next game – a 3-0 home victory over Aston Villa.
And he struck again in Chelsea’s first Champions League match of the campaign, heading home the winner in a 1-0 triumph over Zenit St Petersburg at Stamford Bridge.
This completed a fantastic start to his Chelsea return, with four goals in his first four matches in all competitions.
However, Lukaku’s goals then dried up a touch as he went the next four league games without scoring against Tottenham, Manchester City, Southampton and Brentford – from which Chelsea took nine points.
He also missed a great chance to earn Chelsea a point in the 1-0 Champions League defeat to Juventus and played 14 minutes as a substitute in the League Cup penalty shootout victory over Aston Villa, scoring his spot-kick.
Lukaku’s bad run of luck continued against Malmo as he was forced off on 23 minutes with an ankle injury. He was to miss over a month of action, not returning until November 26.
He came on as a sub for the final eight minutes of the 1-1 Premier League draw with Man Utd at Stamford Bridge on November 28.
He was also introduced off the bench in the Premier League visit to Watford three days later, coming on for the last 21 minutes.
This page will be regularly updated to showcase Lukaku’s individual club statistics for Chelsea throughout the 2021-22 season.

Romelu Lukaku 2020-21 stats
What proved to be Lukaku’s second and final season at Inter ended with him winning the Scudetto, the first Serie A championship the Nerazzurri had lifted in 11 years.
Lukaku played a pivotal role in Inter’s success, scoring 30 goals in all competitions.
This included 24 Serie A goals from 36 games. He also provided an impressive 11 assists.
Inter were disappointingly eliminated from the group stages of the Champions League, but Lukaku still managed to score four times in just five games for the Nerazzurri.
He was reborn at Inter under coach Antonio Conte, following a disappointing spell at Manchester United.
