Romelu Lukaku has been soaking up the rays alongside fellow sport stars in the United States as he recharges his batteries following a lengthy World Cup campaign.
While his Manchester United team-mates laboured to a goalless draw against San Jose Earthquakes in their second pre-season friendly in Santa Clara on Sunday, the Belgian striker was elsewhere in California enjoying a break ahead of the new term.
Lukaku uploaded pictures to Instagram of him chatting to NBA star Serge Ibaka - currently of the Toronto Raptors - and also chilling out in a swimming pool alongside fellow footballer Samuel Armenteros.
The Swedish international currently plies his trade in Major League Soccer with the Portland Timbers, though used to represent one of Lukaku's former clubs, Anderlecht.
Lukaku is on holiday after the World Cup, where he helped Roberto Martinez's Belgium to claim third place in the second of two victories over England.
Along with Denis Cheryshev, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann, the 25-year-old scored four goals in six appearances in Russia to finish in a five-way tie for second place in the Golden Boot standings behind Harry Kane.
The absence of Lukaku is being keenly felt by United on their tour of the US, which began with a 1-1 draw against Club America of Mexico and also includes International Champions Cup meetings with AC Milan, Liverpool and Real Madrid.
He scored 27 goals in his first 51 appearances for the Old Trafford club in 2017/18 following a move from Everton, though was only fit enough for a late cameo in the FA Cup final defeat to Chelsea at Wembley.
Marcus Rashford is also on holiday following his own World Cup exertions, as are the likes of Paul Pogba, Marouane Fellaini, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Victor Lindelof, Jesse Lingard and Ashley Young.
Alexis Sanchez has finally joined up with a youthful squad after overcoming his initial visa issues and played 64 minutes against San Jose, while Nemanja Matic also added to the thin senior ranks over the weekend.
Goalkeeper David De Gea and new £52million signing Fred are expected to arrive over the next couple of days, meanwhile.
Last year's runners-up United open the new Premier League season at home to Leicester on August 10.
