Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United was heralded, along with a multi-million pound outlay, to be the return of success at the club that had dominated English football for so long. Despite outscoring his teammates in his first season, trophy joy and a place in the Champions League evaded them.
As he pushed to leave in the summer, and Erik ten Hag arrived, the former Real Madrid superstar was soon to see his unquestionably starter position moved to the bench, and occasionally to the stands. Frustrated, he has now exploded in an interview with Piers Morgan, criticising United and his current manager among others.

Who could replace Ronaldo at United?
If, or should I say, when Cristiano Ronaldo leaves Old Trafford, there are a few global stars that could come in to take his place. One of those is the Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic who lit up Serie A with his goalscoring exploits.
