Cristiano Ronaldo could barely hold his emotions together in Manchester United's dismal draw with Southampton on Saturday as the Portuguese's drought extended to six games without a goal.
Despite having a stunning early impact on his return to Man United including four goals in his first three games, Ronaldo is increasingly unable to influence games as he used to and looks shorn of confidence in front of goal.
He missed a glorious chance to put United ahead against Southampton when his weak shot was cleared off the line by Romain Perraud.
And later in the game, after Che Adams had cancelled out Jadon Sancho's opening goal and United barely threatened the visitors, it all got too much for Ronaldo.
A number of non-Man United fans expressed their sympathies for the five-times Ballon d'Or winner, saying he should never have gone back to Old Trafford when he left Juventus last year.
One user said Ronaldo looked 'like a broken soul' while another gave a scathing assessment of the current state of United, calling the 20-times champions 'a disease of a club'.
'What have they done to him?' asked another, lamenting Ronaldo's fall from grace.
The video emerged before an explosive report in Spanish newspaper AS claiming Ronaldo is at loggerheads with United coach Ralf Rangnick and does not believe the coach is good enough to be in charge of the club.
The relationship between the player and manager is now said to be completely fractured.
Ronaldo reportedly believes Rangnick, who has spent the last few years working as a sporting director and not a coach, is out of his depth at Old Trafford.
The interim coach meanwhile has not minced his words with the club's talisman, saying Ronaldo needs to score more goals and 'had his chances' against Southampton.
The German also benched Ronaldo for last week's trip to Burnley and angered the Portuguese last month by taking him off away to Brentford.
