Manchester United legend Rooney has criticized Lisandro Martinez and Bruno Fernandes on a podcast, accusing the players of being selfish.

In the Champions League match against Como, Fernandes publicly criticized Carrick and the club's coaching staff's tactical approach. After last week's loss to Atletico Madrid, Lisandro Martinez was among the first to publicly express his dissatisfaction.
Now, Rooney has singled out these two players for criticism while also admonishing the entire Manchester United squad.
Rooney said on "The United Stand": "When Martinez spoke out, I said it was a disaster because it would tear the dressing room apart, and that was just the beginning. Now Bruno has done it too, and more players will follow because they are unwilling to take responsibility.
"You can debate whether Bruno is right or wrong, but you must take responsibility on the pitch, and as a group of players, you must take collective responsibility as well.
"These players are selfish. They don't care about their teammates, the manager, the staff, or the fans.
"They only care about themselves. If they don't get the treatment they want, they throw a tantrum like babies, and then blame everyone but themselves."
Rooney then turned his focus to Fernandes, who publicly criticized Carrick.
He said: "He is passing the pressure onto others because he doesn't want to face it himself.
"If he and Martinez look in the mirror, they will see the real problem reflected back at them. Their current performances fall far short of what is required. They need to do better."
