Antonio Rudiger missed Chelsea's 2-2 draw with Burnley due to a knee injury but he thrust himself into the action when a row erupted on the touchline at full time.
The Chelsea defender had to be held back as he argued with Burnley goalkeeping coach Billy Mercer.
Chelsea's keeping coach Massimo Nenci and fitness coach Paolo Bertelli were also involved as tempers flared, with both seemingly infuriated by Mercer.
The row began on the touchline but was continuing as those involved left the field and headed down the tunnel towards the dressing rooms.
Moments before the final whistle, Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri was sent to the stands after striding out of his technical area and down the touchline to chip away at referee Kevin Friend.
Sarri had be agitated for much of the match, venting his frustration at what he perceived to be time-wasting before exploding in the dying seconds when Mateo Kovacic was booked.
Burnley boss Sean Dyche was quizzed about the post-match scuffle and told Sky Sports: 'I don't know what you are allowed to say any more... manbags handbags, bumbags? Some kind of bags in the tunnel.
'I didn't see much of it, I was out clapping my fans.'
Chelsea's assistant manager Gianfranco Zola said: 'We are not happy because of the result because we didn't feel like we played enough.
'We showed emotion because we care. Maruizio is not happy about some words that have been said to him.'
