Rummenigge rules out Flick leaving Bayern Munich to replace Low

Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has dismissed suggestions that Hansi Flick could replace Joachim Low as Germany boss.

Flick has a contract until 2023 at Bayern and Rummenigge thinks there's no chance he'll leave the club to join the national side.

"[The rumours] have nothing to do with probability... that's a fact," said Rummenigge.

"It is correct to see through what we agree contractually.

"We have communicated that clearly to Hansi [Flick]."

Low's departure from the national team after 15 years in charge was announced by the German Football Federation earlier this month.

The news was unexpected after such a long tenure, and even more so as he had a contract until 2022.

Speculation has been rife as to his successor, but it now seems unlikely to be Flick.
