Leeds United were dumped out of the Carabao Cup after a penalty shootout defeat to League Two side Salford City.

With directors Ryan Giggs and Nicky Butt watching from the stands, the Ammies took the lead and it was through a former Leeds United striker. Matt Smith heading in Luke Garbutt's cross to give the home side a first half lead.
Leeds peppered the goal in the second half and finally forced a equaliser with fifteen minutes to go, when Pascal Struijk drew Daniel Farke's side level.
With the scores level at full time, the tie had to be decided by a penalty shoot out, where it went to sudden death before Ossama Ashley scored a famous winning spot kick for the Salford.
