Sancho reveals he learned his flicks and tricks from Ronaldinho

Jadon Sancho has revealed that watching YouTube clips of Ronaldinho helped him develop the skills which have catapulted him into the England squad.

'Ronaldinho was the main guy I used to watch on YouTube,' he told The Independent. 'But I liked Frank Lampard quite a lot and Didier Drogba when they were playing for Chelsea. They were the three players I looked up to.'

Ronaldinho became arguably the world's most exhilarating player during a five-year spell with Barcelona, pulling off tricks and flicks that had rarely been seen before.

But while the former AC Milan and PSG star helped inspire Sancho as he grew up, playing with flair was a conscious decision for the talented youngster.

'It was all about learning skills and expressing myself,' he added.

'I like adapting that to a real game. It makes defending harder because opponents don't think you have those sort of skills.

'It gives you an advantage against some players and luckily enough it's been working out for me.'
