Sancho to miss Man Utd's Span trip to 'continue individual training programme'

Jadon Sancho will miss Manchester United's trip to Spain as he continuing with his individual training programme.

As reported by the club's official website, Sancho will not be involved in United's friendlies against Cadiz and Real Betis.

The winger, who wasn't selected in England's World Cup squad, has been training in the Netherlands.

A statement from United read: 'Jadon Sancho is continuing his individual training programme as part of a process to get back to his highest level. The club is fully supporting him in this.'

Last month Sancho took part in a private training session at Dutch amateur club OJC Rosmalen.

The 22-year-old is determined to enjoy a productive second half of the season. So far this campaign he has scored three goals and provided one assist in 14 games for United across all competitions.

Defenders Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Brandon Williams are both travelling with Erik ten Hag's squad to Spain as they continue in their recovery from injury.

However, Axel Tuanzebe has remained at the club's training ground as he works his way back towards full fitness.

First-team players making the trip to Spain include David de Gea, Victor Lindelof, Donny van de Beek, Scott McTominay and Anthony Martial. A host of talented youngsters have been selected for the trip.

United's next competitive game is against Burnley in the Carabao Cup on December 21.

Following that they will face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on December 27.
