Sane & De Bruyne in part of the Man City train session ahead of Arsenal clash

Leroy Sane and Kevin De Bruyne were part of the Manchester City squad that trained ahead of the Premier League game with Arsenal.

De Bruyne has missed the last two games with a shoulder problem picked up in the closing stages of the Carabao Cup final win over Aston Villa, where he was a late substitute. His absence from the midfield was keenly felt in the Manchester derby defeat, with Pep Guardiola lamenting the lack of spark in the final third with Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan in those positions.

Sane has not featured for City since suffering cruciate ligament damage in his knee in the Community Shield victory over Liverpool in August. Despite training with the Blues for over a month, the German has not made a matchday squad. He played in an Under-23s game at Arsenal last week to try to build his match fitness and the manager has suggested he may have to do so again, although the next match is not scheduled for another week.

The club's official account tweeted pictures of the pair in training on Monday. Guardiola will be expected to give updates on their fitness at his press conference on Tuesday ahead of the game as well as the latest on John Stones, who was ruled out of the derby with a problem.

City will be looking to bounce back from that defeat, with home games against Arsenal and Burnley this week before Real Madrid are in town for the second leg of their Champions League tie.
