Sheffield United have celebrated their long-awaited return to the Premier League with an open-top bus parade on Tuesday evening.
The Blades will be playing top flight football for the first time in 12 years after they confirmed their second-place finish on Sunday 2-2 draw with Stoke at the Britannia Stadium.
Starting from Bramall Lane, the bus took the whole squad and coaching staff through the streets before arriving at Sheffield Town Hall later on on Tuesday evening.
The club invited fans to celebrate the occasion last week and that's exactly what they did as thousands of loyal supporters filled the streets to greet the players with red flares and flags.
Blades manager Chris Wilder thanked the council for supporting the team's success by allowing the parade.
He told the club's official website: 'We are delighted that Sheffield City Council are honouring our achievements once again. The event two years ago was memorable and we hope this one will be too.'
Before greeting the crowd, players, staff and their families were able to enjoy a reception inside the Town Hall, by way of congratulations from the city of Sheffield.
Striker Billy Sharp thanked the fans on Twitter as they celebrated outside in the background.
He said: 'Blades fans, I just want to say from me and the boys, thank you again – I can't wait to come out there and greet you all.'
John Egan also got in on thanking the supporters after the players arrived at the Town Hall.
He said: 'Big thank you to all the Blades fans, it has been an unbelievable season. You turned out in your droves today and thanks a million. Everything is for you. Up the Blades!'
