Sir Alex Ferguson has previously revealed how he would handle Cristiano Ronaldo's toxic situation at Manchester United.
Ronaldo's nightmare return to Old Trafford has culminated in an explosive interview with Piers Morgan in which he has said he feels "betrayed" by the Red Devils and believes Erik ten Hag and senior officials want him to leave.
His United career could now be over and it's safe to say if Sir Alex was in charge, it certainly would be. He notably kicked David Beckham out of the club in 2003 after their relationship deteriorated.
When discussing that in his 2013 autobiography, Fergie wrote: "The minute a Manchester United player thought he was bigger than the manager, he had to go."
Despite that, Ronaldo has claimed his former boss is on the same page as him and agrees that the club is being mis-managed. He told Morgan: "He knows better than anybody that the club is not on the path they deserve to be.
"He knows. Everyone knows. The people who don't see that… it's because they don't want to see; they are blind.

"I don't know what is going on, but since Sir Alex Ferguson left, I saw no evolution in the club, the progress was zero."
Ronaldo also revealed that Sir Alex talked him out of moving to Manchester City before he instead chose to re-join United last year.
"I followed my heart," he initially explained, before adding: "He (Sir Alex) said to me, 'It's impossible for you to go to Manchester City', and I said, 'OK, Boss.'"
Elsewhere in the interview, Ronaldo also criticised ex-team-mate Wayne Rooney and former manager Ralf Rangnick.
He could be fined a hefty sum of money for his shocking comments, having reportedly been docked two weeks wages for his behaviour when he stormed out during their clash with Spurs last month.
