Sir Alex Ferguson has been tipped to talk Manchester United into signing John McGinn by scout Bobby Jenks.
Jenks, a former Aston Villa scout who recommended McGinn to the Birmingham based club, reckons the legendary Old Trafford boss will try and talk the club into signing the pint-sized Scot.
Rumours had surfaced over the summer about the Red Devils potentially making a £50million move for the Scotland international, though a move never materialised.
The 24-year-old is now putting in some outstanding for the Villans on a regular basis and Jenks believes that interest in the midfielder is bound to be shown.
Speaking to the Athletic, cited by Goal , Jenks said: "He's up there with the best-performing midfielders in the division.
"Wait until he's had a year at that level and then we can say more.
"What I do know is that Sir Alex Ferguson is wondering why Manchester United let a talented Scottish boy slip through.
"He’ll be keeping a close eye on him that's for sure and if he continues the way he is, you can bet he’ll be telling his pals at United, too."
