Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was joined by Nemanja Matic, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling at a dinner on Thursday night for Football Beyond Borders.
The Manchester United cohort added star quality to the event for the charity that uses football to foster social inclusion and education.
Chris Smalling is an ambassador for the organisation and gave a speech at the dinner.
He shared updates on his Instagram story, filming the arrivals of Matic and Jones.
When Matic walked in, Solskjaer strolled over and pretended to reprimand him for being later, tapping his watch.
Smalling's words prior to the dinner were also recorded and he said: 'Tonight you'll get a bit of a flavour for why I feel so passionately about FBB and what they're doing.'
A child called Mahmoud then took the mic to speak and said: 'FBB has done so much for me, I was one of the worst behaved children in my year group.
'Now I behave a lot better in school. I am off all my report booklets and have the golden ticket to do the best that I can.'
Smalling has been a patron of the charity since February. He has provided tickets to watch United at Old Trafford for a number FBB participants, many of whom had never been to the stadium before.
The United defender clearly relishes the chance to give back to youngsters in the north west and they are grateful for his contributions.
On the pitch, Smalling and United have been excelling since Solskjaer came in. But a slip up against Wolves on Tuesday meant the team lost ground in the race for next season's Champions League.
The Old Trafford club host Barcelona in the quarter-final first leg next Wednesday.
