Gareth Southgate will be at Burnley's Premier League clash with Fulham on Saturday as he considers a shock recall to the England camp for Tom Heaton.
The Clarets' keeper came in from the cold to replace Joe Hart for their morale-boosting 2-0 victory over West Ham United last month and was between the sticks again for their 2-1 win at Huddersfield, a result which lifted Sean Dyche's men out of the Premier League relegation zone.
While Nick Pope returned from injury to take the gloves for last weekend's 1-0 FA Cup win against Barnsley, Heaton is expected to get the go-ahead to face Claudio Ranieri's side.
Southgate is a big admirer of Heaton, 32, who had 476 gone days without top flight action before his recall.
The ex-Cardiff and Bristol City man was named on the standby list for England's World Cup squad this summer, despite not playing a competitive match since the previous September thanks to a dislocated shoulder Southgate is set to be joined by Under 21 boss Aidy Boothroyd at Turf Moor.
Sportsmail understands that Boothroyd will be keeping a close eye on Burnley's teenage winger Dwight McNeil.
The 19-year-old, who started his career at Manchester United, has started the Clarets last three matches and scored in their victory over the Hammers, picking up two man-of-the-match awards.
He has been involved with the England Under 20s but is yet to make the step up to the Under 21s.
