A Tottenham fan was so enraged by their humiliating defeat by Bayern Munich that he was forced to call in SICK to work to avoid stick from Arsenal-supporting colleagues.
Despite taking an early lead, Mauricio Pochettino's side suffered the heaviest home loss by an English club in Europe after they were thrashed 7-2 by the Bundesliga champions.
And it was all too much for Spurs fan Darren, who admitted that he left his work WhatsApp group to avoid similar trolling from his Arsenal-supporting mates.
He told talkSPORT's Sports Bar: “I’m flabbergasted with the result tonight. 7-2! It’s really not on!
“Christian Eriksen, first of all, he doesn’t want to be there and should have been frozen out from the start of the season. He said he wanted to leave after the Champions League final so he should have been in the Under-23s or Under-18s.
“Pochettino over five years has done a great job – an amazing job – but I just feel like it’s coming to an end.
“I’ve got to go to work tomorrow with eight Arsenal fans… I’ve just text my manager and had to call in sick!
“I’ve left the WhatsApp group and I’m not going to work tomorrow!”
