Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United are getting close in the battle for the top four — and it appears their players are doing the same over the winter break.

Photographs and videos uploaded to the Nad Al Sheba sports complex's Instagram account on Wednesday have revealed that a number of top Premier League side's players are training out in Dubai.

The likes of Jesse Lingard, Luke Shaw, Ross Barkley and Mateo Kovacic have been spotted at the complex running through drills.

Arsenal's Sead Kolasinac, Kieran Tierney, Reiss Nelson and new boy Pablo Mari were also included in the social media post about the Premier League stars visiting Nad Al Sheba.

Lingard and United team-mate Diogo Dalot were snapped working with coach Kieran McKenna, who is a key member of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's staff.

This is a second visit in two years for the likes of Lingard and Shaw after United took them out for a warm weather training camp in January last year.

Now they will be hoping it can provide them inspiration in their push for the Premier League's Champions League qualification spots.

Chelsea are currently fourth on 41 points with United part of a pack that will still hope to get hold of that final slot in the table. They are six points behind Chelsea on 35 points.

Arsenal's hopes of getting into the top four are small, given they are 10th on 31 points, but they might be hoping for an improvement after the winter break.

The complex has become a go-to place for clubs and athletes over the last few years. It has a gym and outdoor courts, an athletics track, two FIFA-standard pitches, a health club and spa and a diving pool.

There is also plenty of hi-tech equipment used to help players recover from any injuries they might have.

Within the health club there is an altitude chamber, climate chamber, swimming pool, a cryotherapy chamber and full medical facilities.

There are also indoor courts for beach football, volleyball, squash and padel.

The complex is also just a short trip away from downtown Dubai, making it a convenient location for teams heading over.

There is also a Starbucks on the site, for anyone looking for their coffee fix, while there's also a mosque.

Speaking to omny.fm on Wednesday, Rob Wadsworth, the complex's sports director said: 'We're very fortunate, we've got a wide range of world class facilities for athletes across the globe.

They can do their training, whether it's specific events or rehabilitation from injury. They have privacy, so it can be exclusive to them.

'We have a private facility and it is geared towards those international teams and athletes who want to train in Dubai so it's not open to the public.'

He has previously explained why teams choose to go out there: 'Coming into warm weather training, [players] can train outside for a longer period of time, [they have] the advantage of getting Vitamin D.

'From a sports science perspective the ability to train in those hot conditions benefits athletes and teams.'

The likes of Dele Alli and Cristiano Ronaldo have previously been out to the NAS sports complex.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Virgil van Dijk, Novak Djokovic, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Rory McIlroy have all been spotted out there in the past.
