Stupid football tattoos - fans edition & a volume just for England Supporters

  /  unsdftropsentimental

Ok, first of all, let me ask you a question: is getting a football-related tattoo stupid?

Here we take a look at a list of the stupidest football tattoos from fans all over the world, and yes we will get to the footballers' tattoos later.

England fans edition

Not to troll at only England supporters, but they just gave us too much good stuff...

Southgate is a man of controversy after his penalty shoot-out decision at the final against Italy, you may say that he is a masterclass manager that's your call, but hey, getting tattoos like these is just a little bit over the top...

And adding the date just makes it worse...

And you know, Euros, World Cup, keep your fingers crossed, maybe someday it will actually "come home".

And you know, it's not just the England supporters...

I guess the England/ Germany clash was just really important to the fella.

From club enthusiasts as well..

THIS... IS... LIVERPOOL?!

It's alright to enjoy a good old manly film, but when you try and combine the film '300' with Liverpool Football Club, you're gonna have a bad time.

The idea is inventive, there's no doubt at all about that, and while Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and Rafa Benitez lead the Reds' army in yesteryear, there's really no need for this. Plus, notice how Rafa looks a little gaunt.

Just the name ‘Trent Alexander Arnold’

No hyphen. No sense.

The weird thing is that this would still be a bad tattoo even if ‘Trent Alexander Arnold’ was, say, your brother who died at war, and not just a decent full-back

Eeverton FC

This lad supported Eeverton so strongly that he decided to get the club's name tramp-stamped on his body. But there's something wrong with how this has been done, isn't there?

No idea what it is, though.

OH! That's it! They haven't even filled it in with colour yet!

WE ARE SO PROUD! WE SHOU...TATTOO IT?!

One plus point about this fella's ink is that he's not got his name tattooed on his head (well, at least it doesn't look like it) but he's decided instead to have England and Leeds United crests marked on his forehead.

The rest of his face is covered too, as you can see, but I guess you can't fault him for permanently supporting both sides through the many lows and extremely rare highs.

Commitment personified, that.

Sticking With Faces...

Clearly, there's some kind of trend with having artwork on your face. And the decision to go and get it done isn't only limited to crazy former Premier League strikers and Leeds fans.

The Arsenal fan knows what's going on. Complete with a goatee and shaven head, the decision to go with his club's name right across his forehead and what looks like the club crest on the side is definitely proof that nobody loves the team more than him.

Wenger-respecting Arsenal fan

Good? Yes.

Trying too hard? Maybe.

This would obviously feature higher were it drawn on Wenger himself.

The Beautiful Neymar

Now it's obvious that the tattoo artist has attempted to copy the image to the left, but it doesn't get much worse than this!

Red Devils on the forehead

We get it, you love Man United, doesn't get more obvious than that.

SHEAREEEERRRR!

WARNING: This man is NOT Alan Shearer. And, it's also not Spiderman. At least it's not yet been confirmed.

But Alan Shearer is so loved on Tyneside that this man wanted to pay the ultimate respect to his striking hero. Donning his name and legendary number 9 shirt number on his back, this fan will be donning the image longer than the man himself.

At least the number is the right size.

A Permanent Full Kit Tribute

In what was a tribute to the late Andrés Escobar - who was shot and killed after scoring an own goal for Colombia in the 1994 World Cup - this fan decided to don the kit of his favored club permanently.

Felipe Alvarez went and got Atlético Nacional's green and white stripes inked on his upper body and topped it off with Escobar's number two squad number.

I mean, it is touching and all that, but...

Back to the question...

Whichever one you voted for, there are plenty of unfortunate football tattoos for us to get a good laugh out of them.

Coming up next we'll look at footballers and their questionable decision about tattoos, you're welcome to make your nominations in the comment section ;)
