Supermac reveals grandson Samuele now playing for Inter Milan academy

Former Newcastle and Arsenal striker Malcolm Macdonald has revealed he has a grandson playing inside Inter Milan's academy.

Supermac announced the development when discussing Newcastle's Champions League group draw.

He wrote for ChroniceLive: "If all Geordies are buzzing at the Champions League draw with top European cities to be visited then the Macdonald family are beyond thrilled. The reason? AC Milan are in Newcastle's group.

"I lived in Milan for six years - if I looked out of my front window I saw the San Siro just across the way. My daughter Giorgia is a football fanatic who lives in Milan and supports Inter while her son Samuele by the age of eight had played for both AC and Inter. He originally joined AC but didn't like it there, left, and signed for Inter where he is at the moment.

"Samuele is a chip off the old block. Just like his grandad he has football in his blood. I know I'm biased but I believe he has a genuine chance of being a top player. With both Giorgia and Samuele being Inter fans even the Italian arm of my family will be supporting Newcastle when we go to war with AC twice in the coming weeks!"
