Kyle Walker is still the Premier League's fastest player of the last three seasons but a Liverpool star has surprisingly climbed to the top of the rankings notably going above his team-mate Mohamed Salah.

Last week, Mail Sport revealed the top flight's fastest players so far during the opening stages of the 2023-24 season.

Salah and Walker were surprisingly not included in the top ten of with Dominic Solanke and Anthony Gordon racing to the top of the rankings.

But interestingly, a Liverpool midfielder has out gassed both of them to become one of the Premier League's fastest players in the last three seasons during their dramatic late victory against Wolves at Molineux.

While Andy Robertson and a Hugo Bueno own goal in the 85th and 91st minutes of the match secured three points for the Reds, Dominik Szoboszlai also impressed, showing his pace to clock up a top speed of 36.76km/h (22mph) during the game.

According to Stats Perform, that puts the midfielder, who joined Liverpool for a fee of £60million from RB Leipzig, third in the fastest players in the top flight in the last three seasons.

He comes in behind Walker, who keeps his position in first place with a top speed of 37.31km/h.

Behind him sits former Brentford and Luton Town winger Chiedozie Ogbene who has clocked up a top speed of 36.93km/h.

Former Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger, who ended a five-year spell at Stamford Bridge back in 2022 joining Real Madrid, comes fifth after posting a high speed of 36.72, putting him fourth in the standings.

Brennan Johnson, who signed a five-year deal with Tottenham earlier this summer, but will certainly be missed by former side Nottingham Forest after he clocked up a top speed of 36.70km/h last season.

The Spurs star overtook Mykhailo Mudryk to become one of the fastest players in the league last season, with the Chelsea winger sitting ninth in the speedsters rankings over the past three seasons.

Adama Traore comes in at sixth in the standings with a high speed of 36.64, while Salah, who was a standout performer for Liverpool last weekend amassing two assists, before teeing up Harvey Elliott for his deflected strike that bounced in off Hugo Bueno, ranks seventh.

Anthony Gordon wraps up the top-ten fastest players over the last three seasons, with the Newcastle man having having returned one goal and one assist at the start of the new Premier League campaign.
