With Kroos having retired, the coaching staff has decided to assign Rodrygo the responsibility of taking free-kicks. When free-kick opportunities arise during matches, Real Madrid expects Rodrygo to step up.
Last season, Rodrygo played 51 matches for Real Madrid, scoring 17 goals and providing 8 assists.
