WHAT HAS HE GOT?
Mitchell is a strong wide player who signed from Birmingham’s academy at the age of 16.
I was impressed by his work-rate and determination when watching him in a losing performance.
Hugging the left touchline, he controlled the ball comfortably when it was played to his feet.
With an easy movement, the 18-year-old took the ball in his stride, glided inside and eluded the right back without any fuss.
Mitchell has the power to go past a defender with speed. In the first half he was continually helping his harassed left back.
With his confidence on the ball, powerful running and long-passing ability, Mitchell has all the necessary assets.
WHAT DOES HE NEED?
I would like to have seen him show for the ball and then spin behind.
It would have been easier to assess him if his side had more possession but his natural ability still shone through.
