TRANSFER GOSSIP COLUMN: PSG offer Mbappe £86m-a-year deal to keep France star

Two weeks remain in the January transfer window and if reports anything to go by, we could be in for a grandstand finish.

The saga over Kylian Mbappe's future continues to have more twists and turns than a season of Succession, with Paris Saint-Germain desperately looking to hold onto their record goalscorer.

Earlier this month, reports in France suggested Mbappe had finally agreed to join Real Madrid as a free agent in the summer after a two-year pursuit.

PSG, however, have not given up hope of retaining the France star and are ready to put on the table a deal worth £86million-a-year, which would almost treble Real's offer.

Speaking of exorbitant wages, Jordan Henderson could soon wave goodbye to his £700,000-a-week salary in Saudi Arabia as his departure from Al-Ettifaq edges ever closer.

Elsewhere, Manchester United have been linked with Lille and France Under-21 star Leny Yoro and Viktor Gyokeres may not join Chelsea after all.

Below, Mail Sport takes a look at the transfer rumours on Wednesday morning.
