Earlier that evening, Grealish and his friends had also picked up the tab for other diners at an upscale restaurant, generously buying rounds of drinks for fellow guests.
A source described the pre-Christmas gathering as “absolutely unprecedented—a holiday party like no other.”
The outing took place on the day after Saturday, December 20, when Grealish played for Everton against Arsenal in a home match that ended in a 0–1 defeat. Taking advantage of his rare free time, Grealish headed to London, where he was spotted at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park and later met up with former England teammate Kyle Walker in the VIP area. Walker, who plays for Burnley, was accompanied by a friend and two women at the time.
The pair then went to Bagatelle, a French-Mediterranean restaurant in Mayfair, where they were seen distributing drinks to other patrons. One guest present recalled, “These guys really know how to have fun and set the mood. They were incredibly friendly to everyone and extremely generous.”
Afterward, the two parted ways. The 35-year-old Walker reportedly wanted to go to the nearby Tape nightclub—where a bottle of whisky can cost up to £775—but his suggestion wasn’t well received, and he eventually left the restaurant wearing a grey velour hoodie.
