On February 11, Tottenham Hotspur officially announced the dismissal of Thomas Frank. According to The Sun, Tottenham may have to pay Frank's remaining salary under his contract, amounting to as much as £24 million.

It has been reported that Tottenham Hotspur paid a £6.7 million release clause last June to sign Frank from Brentford. Along with Frank, assistant coaches Justin Cochrane, Chris Haslam, and Joe Newton also joined Tottenham.
Subsequently, Tottenham signed Frank to a contract valid until June 2028, with an annual salary of approximately £8 million. Now, they have sacked Frank, meaning the club will have to pay a substantial severance package.
Frank's three-year contract was worth a total of £24 million. Including the £6 million already paid in wages, they may still need to pay the remaining £18 million, meaning Tottenham spent a total of £30.7 million on Frank.
