The stats that made Hazard a Stamford Bridge legend

Eden Hazard admitted that his time at Chelsea could be coming to an end after his brace helped the Blues seal a 4-1 win over Arsenal to lift the Europa League trophy.

The 28-year-old has comfortably been the club's best player during his seven-year stint at Stamford Bridge and the stats continue to prove why he was adored by Chelsea fans.

Here, Sportsmail reveals the numbers behind what made him such a legend at the west London club.

After lighting up Ligue 1 in a five-year spell with Lille, Hazard sealed a £32million switch to Chelsea in 2012 and hasn't looked back since.

With his close control and low centre of gravity, Hazard has become near-impossible to dispossess when he has the ball at his feet, making him a nightmare for defenders.

This has allowed the Belgium skipper to get into dangerous positions high up the pitch to either score or set up his team-mates.

In fact, in the seven-year period he's been at Stamford Bridge, no other has been contributed more goal contributions that Hazard.

The 28-year-old has been directly involved in 191 goals in 352 appearances; 94 more than any other Chelsea player in this period.

In 352 appearances for Chelsea, Hazard has made sure to have left his mark as his impending departure looms.

The Blues talisman managed to bag 110 goals during his time at the club putting him alongside club legends like Frank Lampard, Bobby Tambling and Didier Drogba.

His total leaves him in ninth in Chelsea's all-time top scorer list while his brace in the Europa League final saw him leapfrog George Hilsdon.

While he may not be a prolific goalscorer, he will be sure to add that spark Real Madrid have been missing since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo last summer.

As a creative force, Hazard tops the list for chances created having provided 595 opportunities for his team-mates to score since joining the club in 2012.

In fact, Hazard’s total of 595 chances created is the most of any Premier League player since the start of the 2012-13 campaign, ahead of notable playmakers such as David Silva, Mesut Ozil and Christian Eriksen.

Hazard has also created 208 more chances than any of his Chelsea team-mates in that same period.

If anyone is going to have a final say in who wins the Premier League title, it'll likely be Hazard.

The forward has scored the goal to secure the Premier League title in two campaigns and is the only player to score more than one title-winning goal in England's top flight.

His first came in the 2014-15 campaign when his goal against Crystal Palace gave the Blues a 1-0 win and their fourth Premier League trophy.

His second goal famously kept fierce rivals Tottenham from catching Leicester, earning the Foxes the title against all the odds while further endearing himself to the Stamford Bridge faithful.

While it is evident that Hazard is a team player, the statistics back this up after he enjoyed another stellar league campaign when it comes to registering assists.

According to Opta, Hazard recorded more assists in league competition than any other player in Europe’s top five divisions after he set up his team-mates 15 times to score.

The Belgian also provided 17 assists in all competitions this season, only in 2012-13 (19) had he registered more for the club.
