The 24-year-old Manchester City winger is one of the central figures of the Premier League, and he already knows where he would like to play in the future.

With the end of the season for Manchester City, and after becoming champions of the Premier League, Raheem Sterling is at New York visiting the MLS franchise NYC FC team that belongs to City Football Group who also owns the England champions.

The England international would appear to have plenty of time left to spend in European football, as his immediate future is with the Citizens. However, the 24-year-old starlet is already planning ahead, setting his eyes in the MLS.

Sterling talked with the Wall Street Journal admitting he sees himself heading out of Manchester at some point and putting his course to the US league, with no timescale set, just a clear desire to eventually settle in the United States.

"Football has grown massively over here. It wasn't like that in the past, and it'll continue to get bigger. This is a country I would, one day, love to be able to come to. Your weather is a lot better than ours. Hopefully, one day, I can have my family over here."

ManCity player also talked about the growing interest of the MLS in the UK; "for sure, the MLS is growing in the UK, and people are really taking it in and want to come over. Hopefully, I will have a career here as well."
