'This is the ideal place': New RB Leipzig loanee Justin Kluivert reveals delight over move from Roma

Justin Kluivert is convinced RB Leipzig is the perfect club to nurture his inherited talent after completing a season-long loan from Roma.

The Dutchman rose through Ajax's academy just like his legendary father, Patrick, before a breakout season in 2017-18 earned a move to Roma. However, he's yet to lock down his place in their starting XI after two seasons.

RB Leipzig have drafted the 21-year-old in to help replace Timo Werner after their record goalscorer left for Chelsea, and Kluivert is determined to make a success of his German diversion.

'I'm pleased that this transfer has been completed,' the winger told his new club's website.

'RB Leipzig demonstrated that this was the ideal place for me to develop and make the next step in my career and help the team. My goal is to get games under my belt here.

'The Bundesliga is one of the best leagues in the world and has a lot of quality.

'We also have some exciting challenges in the Champions League, such as Paris St. Germain and Manchester United, which I'm really looking forward to!'

Istanbul Basaksehir are the other side Leipzig face in Group H of the Champions League, certainly the dreaded 'group of death' this season.

Game time is the aim for Kluivert and he'll be relieved to have completed a move away from the Italian capital after only featuring for 18 minutes across Roma's three opening fixtures of 2020-21.

Julian Nagelsmann guided Leipzig to third in last season's Bundesliga and will be aiming for another Champions League qualification this term,
