Thomas Muller will REMAIN at Bayern despite Man United's long-time interest

Thomas Muller's links with Manchester United are of little surprise.

The 34-year-old Bayern Munich forward has long been admired by the shifting powers at Old Trafford.

Indeed, the German international went so far as to hold talks with United boss Erik ten Hag last year.

The Dutch coach has wanted an experienced forward alongside his younger players to help guide them.

The signs were initially promising but Muller has now been convinced to stay in Bavaria and recently signed a new contract.

A big part of that decision is his new business venture with Amazon Prime Video who are pulling together a behind the scenes documentary on Muller and his career.

Production is already underway and the documentary will feature interviews with him and other figures close to him, exploring his beginnings in rural Bavaria to his present-day stardom.

Muller is not the goalscorer he once was, with just two finishes to his name this season, but he has still garnered seven assists in 19 games and his creative powers have always stood him apart.

Bayern will be grateful to keep hold of him for what could be one of the most challenging Bundesliga title races for them in recent memory.

Borussia Dortmund pushed them until the final day last season and Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen are currently four points ahead, proving they don't have as strong a grip on the title as they used to.
