Chelsea transfer news: Trevoh Chalobah has been linked with a Stamford Bridge exit for the majority of the summer window and now a move to Bayern Munich is advancing

Trevoh Chalobah's future at Chelsea looks set to be decided in the coming days amid interest from Bayern Munich. The 24-year-old had been linked with a move to Inter Milan but that deal fell through and he has since not been included in a Mauricio Pochettino matchday squad mostly due to a hamstring injury.

The signing of Axel Disasi also showed that Pochettino did not directly see him as a replacement for the injured Wesley Fofana. Talks with Bayern Munich and former boss Thomas Tuchel, who now manages the Bavarians, then began with a loan move appearing as a likely outcome.

"Italy is a nice country and the Italian league is very good as well. You don't know what the future holds. I'm still a Chelsea player and focused on Chelsea but you never know what the future holds. I like it here in Italy, the weather is good, the people are nice, the food is good and I'm enjoying my time here."

However it may instead be Germany where his long-term future lies with The Telegraph reporting a permanent transfer to Bayern is now being negotiated with talks also said to be progressing well.

Benjamin Pavard's planned transfer to Inter from Allianz Arena has forced Tuchel to identify replacements with Chalobah appearing as the favourite, although interest is also prominent in AC Milan star Pierre Kalulu.

In late July, Chelsea placed a £45million price tag on Chalobah, although it is unknown whether Bayern are willing to meet that or if further talks need to take place. However, with Bayern set to obtain £27.5million from the sale of Pavard, they are more than capable of striking a deal with Chelsea where the west Londoners receive a suitable fee.
