Thomas Tuchel has criticised Timo Werner and Kai Havertz after they failed to make an impact in Chelsea's 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
In a game which the Blues dominated and had 21 shots, they only scored one through Marcos Alonso, which was quickly negated by Cristiano Ronaldo's equaliser.
Havertz and Werner both started the game but were replaced by Romelu Lukaku and Christian Pulisic with 20 minutes left to play.
When asked about their performances after the game, Tuchel didn't hide his frustration as his side failed to come away with all three points.
He told Sky Sports: 'Yeah we had a lot of chances and I think that two did not reach their peak performance today. If they did, we run out the winners.
'That's it, but we don't need to point the fingers. We had enough chances, half chances, to score today.'
Havertz in particular was wasteful in front of goal failing to make the most of the three chances he had during the game.
Despite his struggles on Thursday, the German has been Chelsea's most reliable scorer this season, topping their charts with 13 goals in all competitions.
Tuchel said: 'He needs to fight back into his shape. It is like this. Hopefully, he shows a reaction.
'The guys in the attack are still young and we will not start pointing fingers because lately, they have been very, very composed and very efficient in front of goal.
'Against Southampton and in the win [over Real Madrid] at the Bernabeu, we took our chances very well and very precisely.
'It's like this. When we look at the data and think about who plays and who does not play, we see a huge amount of intensity and sprints from Kai and Timo (Werner).
'So they don't arrive fully, fully fresh at the moment in these matches and that's why we will always protect them because it's a team game we play and we demand a lot off the ball to have high recoveries. But in the last weeks, he had a kind of shape and form that he would've put this game to bed for us.'
Havertz has now failed to score in his last three Premier League matches, after scoring five in as many games beforehand.
Werner meanwhile has failed to score in his last two league games, after scoring in the two prior to that, as well as their 3-2 victory over Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.
