Thorgan Hazard 'wants Dortmund move'... but Gladbach prefer Liverpool

Borussia Monchengladbach star Thorgan Hazard wants to push through a move to Dortmund against the wishes of his club, according to reports in Belgium.

Hazard, brother of Chelsea forward Eden, has starred for Gladbach this season as they push for a Champions League place.

However the Belgium international reportedly wants to move on this summer, and is eyeing a transfer to a Bundesliga rival.

According to Belgian newspaper Nieuwsblad, Dortmund have already made a €42million (£36m) bid for the attacking midfielder.

However Gladbach are reportedly keen to persuade Hazard that if he is to leave the club, he should move abroad rather than to a domestic opponent.

Nieuwsblad claim Liverpool are ready to offer more than £36m to bring Hazard to the Premier League, like his older brother.

The 26-year-old, however, is said to have his heart set on Dortmund as he would get more first team chances there, and is settled in Germany.

Liverpool have a wealth of attackers capable of playing on either wing, like Hazard - including Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Xherdan Shaqiri, Adam Lallana and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

It could mean Hazard, despite scoring 12 goals in 29 appearances this season and claiming 11 assists, could struggle to break into the Liverpool team.

Hazard - who has 21 senior Belgium caps - has helped Gladbach to fifth in Bundesliga this season, four points off the Champions League qualification places.
