Top 3 West Ham players to sign on FPL 2021/22

Who are West Ham’s best FPL assets?

After staving off relegation by just five points in 2019/20, not many people expected West Ham to do much in 2020/21.

However, David Moyes’ side were most certainly one of the surprise packages of the campaign just gone.

The Hammers were able to beat the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham to a Europa League spot, finishing the campaign in a very impressive 6th place.

Whilst this is of course good news for West Ham fans, it may not be what Fantasy Premier League fans wanted, as most smaller sides like West Ham who earn European football then generally suffer the season after as they do not have the squad to handle so many games.

And whilst this is something you should consider when selecting your FPL players, West Ham do still have a handful of options for you to consider.

Michail Antonio, forward (7.5m)

The first of these is Michail Antonio, who comes in at 7.5m.

The forward has been West Ham’s main striker for the past few campaigns and is a solid source of goals.

However, Antonio is pretty injury-prone, which diminishes his value on FPL.

He would score 10 and assist five in just 26 league games last term and that sort of form over 38 games would make him a superb pick. But, of course, him staying fit does not seem too likely, especially given he only managed 26 and 24 starts in his last two seasons.

Aaron Creswell, defender (5.5m)

The next option you may wish to consider is Aaron Creswell.

The left-back would provide a very impressive 11 assists in the league last season, to go along with 11 clean sheets.

This makes him one of the better mid-priced defensive options on FPL this term.

Of course, you could also get Luke Shaw for that price. But when Manchester United have a tough run of games from around gameweek eight to 15, it could be worth swapping out Shaw for Creswell.

Tomas Soucek, midfielder (6.0m)

The final player you may wish to sign from West Ham is Tomas Soucek.

Soucek had a decent first half-season with West Ham in 2019/20 and was then one of their standout stars in 2020/21.

The midfielder scored a very impressive 10 goals and provided two assists, with a similar return this time around making him another potential bargain at 6.0m.

One potential drawback with Soucek, though, may be that if Declan Rice leaves – he has been linked with Chelsea of late – then he will not be allowed as much freedom to get forward as he currently is under a new partner.
