Match Report
Lucas Moura started in Kane's normal position but posed scant threat to a packed Newcastle defence, while at the other end Salomon Rondon and Ayoze Perez were a nuisance throughout.
Just as Newcastle looked set to extend their unbeaten Premier League run to three matches, Son's shot from the edge of the box squirmed under Dubravka and secured a win that keeps Spurs' faint title hopes alive.

23' CLOSE! Lamela's header hits the woodwork
Tottenham are frustrated again as Lamela sees his effort clatter off the bar. Vertonghen's cross into the box travelled all the way through to the back post where the Argentine stooped to guide a headed effort towards the net. It loops towards the net, but hits the bar and bounces clear.
29' CHANCE! Perez & Rondon's shot blocked
Eriksen does well at the back to make a vital block to deny Rondon. Atsu had helped the ball into the box towards Perez. The Spaniard failed to connect with his effort, but his team-mate was there behind him to pounce.
51' DANGER! Rondon's header hits the post
Rondon is denied by the post. Newcastle could be ahead as the forward sees his effort clatter off the post and bounce to safety after he latched on to Yedlin's pinpoint cross.
83'GOAL! Tottenham 1-0 Newcastle (Son Heung-Min)
Spurs take the lead due to a howler from Dubravka as he allows Son's shot to travel through his body into the net. Llorente worked the ball into the path of the winger on the edge of the box. He carved out space for a strike, and although it was hit with power, it was straight at the Newcastle keeper. However, Dubravka let it through his body and into the back of the net.
