Tottenham fans react ANGRILY to Mourinho's criticism of Solskjaer's Son comments

Tottenham supporters have accused Jose Mourinho of trying to deflect attention away from their poor display by criticising Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's comments on Son Heung-Min.

Spurs were beaten 3-1 by Manchester United on Sunday in a major blow to the north Londoners' top-four hopes but Mourinho opted to condemn Solskjaer's criticism on the Tottenham winger's actions to disallow a first-half goal for United.

Son went to ground under the flailing arm of Scott McTominay in the build-up to Edinson Cavani putting the ball in the net. Referee Chris Kavanagh and VAR ruled the Uruguayan's goal out and the South Korean winger gave Spurs the lead five minutes later.

Even though United came back to win the game in the second-half, Solskjaer claimed that if the Tottenham winger 'would not get any food' if he was his child.

Mourinho then said in his own post-match press conference: 'Sonny is very lucky that his father is a better person than Ole. Because a father you always have to feed their kids, no matter what they do.

'If you have to steal to feed your kids, you steal. I'm very very disappointed (with Ole) because we say in Portugal: bread is bread, cheese is cheese. I've told Ole already what I think about his comments.'

But some Tottenham fans have reacted negatively towards their manager as they feel the Portuguese manager was ignoring the issues with his own team.

One Spurs fan tweeted: 'This is just Jose trying to change the focus away from the dire football.

Another said: 'And This reply just sums him up distraction and deflection from a manager who is single handed(ly) tearing apart the 10 years (of work) before him in under 2 seasons the man is past it as a coach he needs to go before someone of more note goes first fingers crossed it’s not Kane'

After seeing Mourinho's interview, one Tottenham fan said: 'What a stupid talking point as a distraction from the real issues'
