Tottenham's Paulo Gazzaniga has earned a first call up to the Argentina squad for their upcoming clashes with Mexico.
Gazzaniga was named in Argentina's latest squad alongside fellow first-timer Gaston Gimenez on Friday evening.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper will be joined in the squad by fellow Tottenham team-mates Erik Lamela and Juan Foyth for the upcoming games against Mexico on November 17 and 21.
Gazzaniga has been in good form when called upon this season by Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The 26-year-old - formerly of Rayo Vallecano, Southampton and Gillingham - has featured in five matches this term and Spurs have won all of them, including an EFL Cup penalty-shootout victory against Watford in which he was the hero.
Gazzaniga's last outing came on Tuesday night when he made his Champions League debut in a 2-1 triumph over PSV.
Like centre back Foyth – who has featured twice for Spurs this term – Gazzaniga has yet to be capped at senior level.
While Tottenham's inexperienced duo will be hoping to make their debuts against Mexico, attacking midfielder Lamela will be looking for cap No 24.
Lamela has been one of Tottenham's best players this season, netting six goals in 12 club appearances.
