Guglielmo Vicario says Hugo Lloris has warmly welcomed him to Tottenham.
Vicario has joined Spurs from Empoli effectively to replace Lloris as the club's new No1.
The Italian said: "Hugo is still a Tottenham player and he was really kind when I signed.
"He's a great guy and one of the best goalkeepers in the world. He won a World Cup and played many games in the Premier League."
On the pressure facing him at Spurs, Vicario also said: "I think it's good, it helps you improve your performance."
And on Spurs' qualities: "There is great potential and there are the best structures to make footballers 100% professional. The impact with the other players has been very good, I'm excited to start this season with Spurs."
