Inter CEO Beppe Marotta is expecting the club to tie down Lautaro Martinez to a new contract soon, despite interest from Premier League side Tottenham.

Nuno opens up on Ndombele

One of the future’s of Spurs attacking midfield Talent Tanguy Ndombele has been addressed by new coach Nuno Espirito Santo.

The French international has been absent from much of pre-season and now the Portuguese coach has spoken on this by saying that it has not been the right time to use him.

“Tanguy was not with us today. He’s not injured but we considered it’s not the moment for him to take part in the game,” said Nuno.

Could this open up a possible departure? There is still plenty of time left in the window.

Romero absence explained

Tottenham managed to bring in Argentinian defender Cristian Romero from Atalanta this summer in a deal which could rise to as high as 55 million euros.

However he was absent from the final match of the Mind Series in the 1-0 win over Arsenal, but he did attend the game and clapped the fans with his new teammates.

It is understood that Romero is still recovering from a knee injury suffered at the end of last season.

This means he could miss the start of the Premier League season and with Toby Alderweireld being sold, Eric Dier and Davison Sanchez are likely to be the starting pair unless a signing is made before then.
