Tottenham transfer news: The wing-back is expected to be announced as Ange Postecoglou's fourth summer signing

Tottenham Hotspur have triggered the €40million (£39m) clause to sign Pedro Porro from Sporting CP on a permanent basis, the Portuguese club have confirmed.
The wing-back initially joined the north London outfit on loan in January, with an option to make the move permanent. He made 17 appearances for Spurs under four different managers, scoring three goals and assisting another three.
"Following the agreement concluded on January 31, 2023 between Sporting SAD and Tottenham Hotspur for temporary surrender of Pedro Porro, for the amount of €5million, Tottenham informed Sporting SAD of the exercise of the acquisition action of the player's sports right, for the additional amount of €40million.
"The value of the solidarity mechanism due to third-party cubes will be supported in about 95% for Tottenham, leaving the remaining 5% in charge of Sporting SAD."
The confirmation comes after Porro made his intentions very clear to continue in the Premier League. "It was a giant step, in the end, I've been fighting for it all my life and it's something very big," he said in quotes published on Sport Witness from an interview with Spanish media outlet AS.
"And I don’t want to wake up from this dream, it is undoubtedly one of the best leagues in the world, if not the best, and being there every day is a gift for me for all the work I have been doing since I was little in my land."
