Tottenham will snub Inter Milan interest in Tanguy Ndombele and give him a second chance

Tottenham Hotspur have not rekindled talks with Inter Milan for Tanguy Ndombele.

Despite reports out of France, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy remains reluctant to sell the £55million signing.

Ndombele has struggled to settle but Tottenham want to give the midfielder a chance to kickstart his career and do not want to take a hit on such an outlay only 13 months after signing the Frenchman.

After arriving last summer as the club's record signing he scored on his debut against Aston Villa but struggled for match fitness early on.

His fitness issues continued until November when Pochettino was dismissed from White Hart Lane, but he has failed to find favour under new manager Jose Mourinho.

Since lockdown he has not started a single game and has featured for just over an hour in total as Spurs scraped a sixth place finish and a Europa League spot in his large absence.

The 23-year-old has not started for the north London side since March when he was hauled off at half-time in a 1-1 draw at Burnley which led to fierce public criticism of his efforts from Mourinho.

Barcelona have also been linked with the former Lyon midfielder, however they are likely to baulk at the likely asking price Levy would demand.

Meanwhile, Spurs are set to face competition from Everton in a bid to land Lille defender Zeki Celik.

Mourinho is on the look out for the right back, as he looks to strengthen his defence heading into the new season.
