Aston Villa star Matty Cash was interviewed by his sister Hannah for American broadcaster CBS following his side's 3-1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League

Matty Cash was interviewed on live TV by his sister Hannah following Aston Villa's Champions League quarter-final clash with Paris Saint-Germain. Cash started as Villa suffered a 3-1 defeat in the first leg at the Parc des Princes.

Morgan Rogers did given Villa the lead, but goals from Desire Doue, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Nuno Mendes mean PSG will take a two-goal advantage into the second leg. Despite tasting defeat in Paris, it was still a special night for Cash as he was interviewed by his sister after playing in the biggest game of his career so far.

Hannah was covering the game for American broadcaster CBS and shared a touching moment with her brother after their interview. "I know that before the game you told me to record it on your TV because you always forget," she said.

"So you'll be able to watch that back. Give me a hug Matthew. I'm proud of you. I love you." As the two siblings shared a hug, Hannah was congratulated by Kate Abdo, Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards in the CBS studio.

She then explained how her brother constantly forgets to record his own matches so that he can watch them back. "This is the thing with Matthew," Hannah said.

"Every time he goes and plays away he always forgets to record the game on his TV, so he's texting me two hours before the game saying 'Hannah can you log in to my account and record the game for me'.

"I'm like 'You're playing in one of the biggest games of your life and you forgot to record it on your TV'. So I made sure I did that for him. But it's got to be in HD. If it's not in HD he gets fuming with me."

Cash will be hoping to make more of an impact in the second leg, having been taken off at half-time after picking up an early booking. Reflecting on the tie, Cash told BBC Radio 5 Live: "A tough night.

"We knew coming here it was going to be tough. They dominated Liverpool and they were unlucky to lose [the first leg]. I thought we defended the box really well, I thought at the end we were unfortunate and unlucky to concede.

"We have Villa Park next game - I think it will be a different game. The manager spoke in there and he said 'It is only half-time'. At home we are really strong.

"We are more than capable to score two or three goals at home. We will learn from it and we will move on. I love going out there and playing in the big games.

"We wanted to compete better and we wanted a better result. We have come a long way and it is only half-time - we are more than capable to go on and win the game.

"We have got to respect them, they're probably favourite to win the tournament. At Villa Park we feel confident. It will be a different game. I look forward too it."
