Trippier 'tells England team-mates he wants to join Man United this summer'

Kieran Trippier has reportedly told his England team-mates that he is interested in joining Manchester United.

Trippier has enjoyed a sublime debut season in LaLiga after winning the league title with Atletico Madrid and being named in the Team of the Season after a campaign of consistent performances.

In recent weeks Trippier has been increasingly linked with Manchester United, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer bids to acquire competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

And The Sun claim the former Tottenham man is excited about the prospect of a switch to Old Trafford.

And the Red Devils believe they might be able to get him for as little as £15m despite him currently being central to Atleti's plans.

Trippier's start to life in Spain was stalled after he was handed a ten-week ban by FIFA for an alleged breach of betting regulations surrounding his move to Atletico from Spurs.

The Bury-born star soon came back into a purple patch of form however, with Trippier becoming a key member of the squad under boss Diego Simeone and playing a total of 68 games.

He has two years remaining on his current deal at the Wanda Metropolitano.
