UEL quarter and semi-final draw: Date, how to watch and who will be in it?

  /  autty

The draws for the Europa League quarter and semi-finals take place on Friday afternoon as the competition really starts to heat up.

The British quartet of Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Rangers are all still vying for a place in the last-eight, with positive results last week making it a real possibility that all four will be in Friday's draw.

With the remaining fixtures set to take place tonight, Sportsmail takes you through the all-important details below.

When is the Europa League draw?

The draw for the Europa League quarter-finals will start at 12am on Friday, March 19, following the conclusion of the Champions League draw.

The Europa League semi-final draw will then begin immediately after, with ties numbered 1–4 for the last-four.

As we saw in the round of 16, neither country protection or seedings are a factor in Friday's draw, which will also include a draw for the final's 'home' side, which is done for 'administrative' reasons.

The draw, like the Champions League, will take place inside the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.

And, of course, by the time the draw is made, we will know just which teams have made it to the last-eight.

How to watch the Europa League draw

There are two primary ways in which you can watch the Europa League quarter and semi-final draws this year.

UEFA will be once again offering a live stream of the event, which you can watch HERE.

Additionally, BT Sport will also be broadcasting the draw on BT Sport 1, which existing customers can watch on the app or website.

Of course, we will also be offering live blogs for both the Champions League and Europa League draws, where you can keep up-to-date with the proceedings.

Who will be in the Europa League draw?

Unlike the Champions League, all the matches are played on the same day, meaning no teams have yet progressed to the quarter-finals.

However, after an intriguing round of first-leg fixtures, a number of clubs already have one foot in Friday's draw.

One team whose progression remains entirely uncertain is Manchester United, who conceded in stoppage time in their first-leg home encounter with AC Milan, with the tie settled at 1-1.

London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham look to be all-but in the last-eight, however, after Mikel Arteta's side cruised to a 3-1 away win at Olympiacos, while Jose Mourinho's men defeated Dinamo Zagreb 2-0 at home.

Below is a list of the remaining teams in full:

When are the quarter-finals and semi-finals?

The first legs of the quarter-finals will take place on April 8, with the second legs to be completed just a week later on April 15.

There will then be a two week gap before the Europa League returns, with the semi-final first legs to be played on April 29.

The second legs will then be completed on May 6.

When is the Europa League final?

Of course, it's the all-important final that follows next, which will be played in the Gdańsk Arena in Poland this season.

The traditional Thursday night slot will be abandoned for the final, which will be played on Wednesday,  May 26.
